Sing for Water 2012
Sing for Water rehearsals start on Monday June 11th, 7.30 - 9.30pm at Llangyfelach Church Hall.
Everyone is welcome to join in - whether you think you can sing or not! And you can do as little or as much as you like.
We are aiming to raise as much money as possible for WaterAid's clean water and sanitation projects in some of Africa's poorest countries. £2 will be donated to WaterAid every time you come to a rehearsal.
Once you've learnt the songs, you will have the chance to sing at a local fundraising event and be a part of the amazing massed 800-voice choir at this year's London Sing for Water event, on September 9th.

Practice tracks are available for all of the songs, so you can learn in your own time and at your own speed.

First, we will meet for a workshop in St Teilo’s Church Hall, The Glebe, Bishopston, to learn songs for the walk.
Then we will go on a circular walk through Bishopston Woods down to the sea at Pwll Du (approx 6 miles in total). Back by 5.00pm.

On the way, we will pause in beautiful spaces to sing the songs that we learnt in the morning. We will also harmonise with the sounds around us - birdsong and the sound of an underground river. And we'll keep our energy and spirits high by singing walking chants from West Africa...

Bring packed lunch to eat on the way. Terrain includes a rocky dried up stream bed and a steep climb up from the beach but is otherwise easy walking. Boots recommended.
