My heart began to race when I heard the horn. Susan was in trouble and I feared that I would not make it to her in time. I ran as fast as I could, afraid that I would lose another sibling. I promised mum that I would protect them and I did not want to let her down. Fear overwhelmed me when I thought of what would happen if I didn't make it in time. I brushed the feeling off quickly focusing on saving my sisters. The other creatures followed me as I followed the sound of the horn.

I made it to the clearing in time to see a large wolf jumping up a nearby tree where Susan and Lucy were perched. I pulled out my sword and aimed it at the familiar wolf. He wouldn't get away this time. This was my battle and I knew that the other creatures would not interfere. I stared at the large wolf terrified, but I didn't want it to show too much. He didn't believe I would kill him and truthfully I was beginning to doubt myself.

My breathing quickened as I saw the look in the wolf's eyes. He lunged and I held my sword up as he fell on top of me. I could hear the muffled sounds of Susan and Lucy yelling my name. I could barely feel the weight of the animal on me as I went numb. The fear had overtook me, but it was beginning to fade as my sisters rolled the wolfs body off of me. I sat up and looked at them as they threw their arms around me. I hugged them tight, relieved that they were okay.
