It is not that I want to fit in, or maybe I do. I am just tired of being in the shadows. Others don't need to notice me, but my friends should, yet they don't. It is beginning to be a habit. My work isn't appreciated by anybody. Not my friends or the listeners. So why should I bother?

I have always been the loner and that's just been my nature. I just feel that if I'm not going to be recognized, I may as well not be here. If I'm always in the shadows, who's going to notice anyway?
