My Last Breath
“James Norrington…do you fear death?”
What kind of question was that? Of course I bloody feared death. Didn’t everyone? I struggled to breathe as I looked up at Davy Jones, who smirked as he waited for my reply. My vision began to fade. My grip tightened on the handle of my sword. I took a deep breath—I knew it would be my last. I shoved the sword through Davy Jones’ heart; at least, where his heart should have been.
I let out a shuddering breath, focusing my mind on Elizabeth, the feel of her lips on mine…the world darkened…

LD this is fascinating! I really love how you have gotten into the inner minds of these characters! Especially James'!! Terrific work...short and bittersweet!
