I began a story a few weeks back that featured Gillette, James Norrington, and Jack Sparrow in a sort of love triangle.  Due to FanLib's announcement that they were closing, my muse ran off to Singapore and has not been around for awhile, thus the story was promptly forgotten.  I recently came across it again and, to my dismay, discovered that I could not remember where I was going with it.

I've been pretty depressed due to the way life has been going at the moment, and it didn't help that my muse was MIA.  Today I decided that I wanted to read some sweet Gillington (why Gillington, I'm not really sure, except I thought it would cheer me up), and found a community for Gillington on LiveJournal.  Many of the stories were R or above, which I tend to avoid, especially in slash stories, because I've noted how those are often excessively "smutty," which I'm not entirely comfortable reading.  I did find a lovely image by lineae of the amazing James Norrington...looking even more amazing than usual...

Apparently this image was inspired by a story by another member of the Gillington community, wicked_jade.  Well, after seeing this picture, I had to read the story, didn't I?  But the story (One Perfect Day) was "Hard R."  Hmm...

But I decided that I would try it out anyway - if I got uncomfortable, I'd turn back.  And I'm very glad I did read it!  It was wonderful and sweet (and hot).  And the best part:  it also got my muse to come back to me!  So I got out the Gillington/Sparrington story again to see if I could write some more of it...which I did, and have now posted the first chapter. :D
