We apologize for this sad news as we were hoping to celebrate with all of you the end of 2009 !

We will reschedule the event as soon as things clarify, tentatively in January or February.

All signed up guests will be fully reimbursed by Amiando. You will receive a credit on your credit card within a week. Please let us know if you haven't received a reimbursement by the end of December

Mission Statement of the HCF

The Harvard Club of France (HCF) is a non-profit organization (association 1901) that serves the interests of Harvard and the more than 2500 members of the alumni community in France. Our goals are threefold:

  • to foster rewarding relationships and exchanges within the alumni community in France,
  • to nurture close ties between Harvard and alumni, and
  • to help Harvard outreach to the French community, notably through college interviewing, internships and scholarship funding.

The HCF is also deeply committed to helping Harvard outreach locally. Alumni volunteers conduct college interviews with undergraduate applicants and provide counseling, and the Club actively solicits donations to the Harvard French Scholarship Fund, which has helped over 100 French students pursue their studies at Harvard's various faculties. Both of these forms of alumni support have contributed to fostering a stronger European presence at Harvard and to strengthening Harvard's image in France.

The priority of the Executive Committee for 2009-2010 is to propose a slate of activities and events for our members that will cover a very broad range of interests: politics, arts, sciences, law, economy, environment, and education.

We will also bring more of Harvard to our members by organizing more events with Faculty and distinguished graduates of the university who travel to France.

All these activities will be organized in close coordination with the other Harvard alumni associations in France: the HBS Club de France, the Harvard Law School Association in France, the Association des Anciens Boursiers Sachs à Harvard and the Harvard French Scholarship Fund. We will make sure that we leverage as effectively as possible the time of all volunteers involved to best serve the alumni community in France.

Nicolas Landrin
President of the Harvard Club of France
