Hi! hawleyclan is our screen name. Hubby is David, and I am Zoie. We've been a unit for 20 years now... and our marital bliss wouldn't be what it is if we didn't have 6 cute kiddos in the mix.
We are from Texas, south of the DFW area. We are country dwellers, and have varied skills and interests. Those interests include glass, polymer, metal, and textiles. Hubby and I have been working with glass for going toward a year now, mostly lampwork, but we are experimenting with fusing and slumping too.
Lampwork Etc. is the site that helped us get on our feet and running. 8)
Looking forward to meeting everyone!!

As so often in life, we find ourselves pursuing the interests that we find down the tiny alley ways of the road less traveled in life. The ability to take hold of the unknown, mount it, and hang on for the wild ride and boundless experiences that it promises to carry us into. The desire to face challenges with courage and master new skills as we press ourselves further and further into the thrill.
Glass doesn't just happen... it has a life of it's own. The flame brings the glass back to life from it's place of suspended animation, and gravity beckons it to dance. The lampworker is choreographer who set the dance to the song of their inspiration, the one who watches the molten form, coaxing it, convincing it to take on a new reality drawn from the depths of unrealized imaginations.
Working, stretching physical limitations to the outer edges of possibility. Giving imagination tangible form and sharing it with others.
Here we invite you to take a glimpse into the imaginations of our minds. :)
