Err, so what's the point of all this then?
Well, there is no point really. For a geek, I have come extremely late to the idea that it would be interesting to have a blog. And then, having decided to create a blog, I procrastinated for about a year (I tend to do that). And then another few months. Finally, this is the result of all that lovely procrastination. Don't expect much, except whatever muddled ramblings I consider to be tenuously blog-worthy at the time. Pretty much the same as everyone else's personal blog, then?
If you're interested, the title of the blog comes from the lyrics of "Smoke It" by the Dandy Warhols. No reason for using it other than (a) the lyric makes me smile and (b) I had absolutely no other inspiration for a blog title. It certainly doesn't mean I'm a 'dog person' (I prefer cats if you must know, but can't really be trusted to own any animal).
The photo that I've used for the page header was taken from the top of Greenwich Hill on a cold day, looking north over the Old Royal Naval College buildings and the River Thames, towards the Isle of Dogs and Canary Wharf. But you probably knew that already.
As Ringo would say, "peace and love, peace and love".

Almost sounds like fun unless you're the Prague schoolboy who walked out into the street, straight in front of a tram. He thought he'd got a month to cross the street. Sounds like a lot of fun doesn't it, if you want to be part of the Summer of Death. Thankyou for listening to me. Take care, and I really do mean, take care." - Noel Edmonds
