MCFC Babies Profile

man city babies match pix

Manchester City Babies FC is a juvenile club formed in October 2007 by the Manchester City Centenary Association(CSA),Ghana Branch. The club consists of under 8,under 12,under 14 teams and will soon add an under 17 team. The team is based in Tamale, the northern regional capital of Ghana. Our immediate plan is to enter the club into the northern regional national colts league. It is also our hope to play in Ghana's premier division in future. We currently use a school field for training and playing our matches.

The aim of the team is to make Manchester City popular in Ghana and also to nurture hidden talents of children in our community. In Ghana, we have observed that a lot of EPL soccer loving fans support clubs like Manchester United,Arsenal,Liverpool and Chelsea just because such teams are familiar with their lips. So in order to make MCFC popular to Ghanaians as well, the CSA,Ghana branch set up the MCFC babies team. So, if the team starts playing in the colts league and if possible the national premier division, the name Manchester City FC would be familiar with every Ghanaian soccer-loving fan.

Although we have not yet entered into a league, we have played a number of trial matches and I might say the boys are really talented and I would not be suprised to see some of them playing in MCFC colours in the near future.

Peter Amoabil - The Manager of MCFC Babies, CSA Ghana Branch

This is CID GHANA
CID-Ghana, Cooperation for Integrated Development Ghana, is a development organization based in Tamale of northern Ghana. CID acts in two main ways, through development projects and through creating a direct link between Ghana and other parts of the world.

The vision of CID-Ghana is to work on programs and projects that will support the development of northern Ghana by creating chances for the locals to carry through their own ideas and projects. CID also supports the communities with school fees and health information.
