They’re pretty amazing. We’ve posted the lot for you below.

The shooter was long-rumored and announced at gamescom in August via a trailer.

Last month, Insomniac said there would be “more to come” on the game, and it looks like it kept its promise.

The screens are awesome, and posted below. They’re from this Flickr account. It’s not confirmed these are real, obviously, but they pretty much are.

It’s out sometime in 2011.

I think right now a lot of the thinking right now is very limited, where we’re trying to translate a racer or shooter on the Kinect platform – but that’s not all that Kinect is going to be about. Kinect is about games that we can’t even imagine today.

“I would expect in all the games where you use a device – be it a gun, a steering wheel or whatever – I’m not sure those are going to be the core strength. You can play them with Kinect, but the real strength will actually come to bear with stuff where you only use your body. Dancing and fitness are excellent example, because those are things where you would prefer not to have any devices in your hand. Strategy might even work well – while today you can to use a mouse and push buttons, I can easily see you intuitively with your body orchestrating a game.

<status>Published</status>

No Dead Rising 2 for UAE

No zombies for the Emirates, then.

While it had previously been hinted that we would be getting zombie maps, thanks to a few tweets and a strategy guide listing it's almost guaranteed now.

Not only did Treyarch community boss Josh Olin hint over Twitter last night that "'If Zombies have anything to do with our top-secret Co-Op mode, then it's a safe bet there will be a trailer for it eventually...," but with the Brady Games official Black Ops strategy Guide also lists "Co-Op and Nazi Zombie Coverage" as one of the things it covers.

The war glorifying game series, which trains our children to become murderers and bad people, Call of Duty is now set to once again teach our children evil ways by prominently displaying the voodoo art of zombification as a form of entertainment. Do they know no shame? One game featuring zombies was not enough for their pagan ways and sick ideas? Why isn't someone regulating this filth so parents can keep their children safe?

<status>Published</status>

OXM gives Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 9/10

OXM has given the highly anticipated Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 9/10 in its latest issue.

The magazine describes the game as ‘huge and magnificent,’ while reviewer John Blyth calls it “big,” before adding, “Big’s too little a word.”

Blyth also said the game “seemingly hasn’t heard of DLC – and decides to offer you immense value for money instead.”

The review says the campaign seems to get its influences from the likes of God of War, Shadow of the Colossus and Pan’s Labyrinth.

Blyth says the campaign weighs in at around the 20 hour mark, and despite a few annoyances – such as the game sometimes failing to communicate where you should be going – Blyth still describes it as “an epic and slightly unexpected triumph.”

<status>Published</status>

Michael Jackson MMO in development

Entertainment firm SEE Virtual Worlds has announced that it is working on an MMO based on pop icon Michael Jackson.

“Planet Michael will offer fans around the globe an innovative, first-of-its-kind interactive gaming and social experience that truly celebrates Michael Jackson’s extraordinary life as an artist and humanitarian,” the press release reads.

Gameplay details are thin on the ground, though the action will take place in a range of locales based on the singer’s life and will offer a range of collaborative gaming opportunities.

The game will actually reside within MindArk’s existing virtual world the Entropia Universe. It will be free to download and will not be subscription based though there will be an in-game economy.

But Modern Warfare 2 had better prepare to stand down. Halo reach was released on September 14th, meaning the numbers come only from those who got the game early. Next week looks like it’s going to be a completely different story.

It will be controllable with gestures of your hand or using your voice, and Sky Player subscribers will be able to quickly access up to 32 live TV channels and over 100 on demand programs including: movies, sports and a wide range of TV shows.

There’s been over 1 million Sky players so far, so enabling Kinect should prove to be very popular.

It will be made available in the UK starting November 10.

<status>Published</status>

MS: Blu-ray being ‘passed by’

Microsoft has issued its most blatant dismissal yet of high-capacity disc technology Blu-ray, seemingly ending all talk of its possible inclusion in future versions of the Xbox 360.

When asked if the inclusion of just DVD technology and not Blu-ray in Xbox 360 could potentially lessen the console’s lifespan, director of entertainment and marketing Stephen McGill told Xbox360Achievements:

“I think people may have spoken about that originally, but that's long gone. I think people now recognise what a smart decision it was to keep the pricing low.

“Actually Blu-ray is going to be passed by as a format. People have moved through from DVDs to digital downloads and digital streaming, so we offer full HD 1080p Blu-ray quality streaming instantly, no download, no delay.

“So, who needs Blu-ray?”

<status>Published</status>

EA says PS3 can catch Xbox 360

After what even Sony admits as being a slow start across the globe, the PS3 has finally found its stride and is quickly catching up on its console rivals in the sales race – and EA reckons it could yet catch Xbox 360 in the UK hardware market.

“We could certainly see Sony come back – in the UK it’s still a head-to-head competition between PlayStation and Xbox, but on the continent Sony is traditionally stronger than Microsoft,” European senior VP Jens Uwe Intat told MCV.

“But we’re very happy to watch the competition, because as long as they’re competing to get more consumers in, there are more people we can sell games to. It’s interesting to see that both companies embarking on a slightly different path when it comes to controlling games. Kinect and Move are both very interesting ideas.”

<status>Published</status>
