Les Glass House Mountains sont une série d'anciens pics volcaniques :

  • Mount Beerwah, 555 m
  • Mount Coonowrin, 377 m
  • Mount Tibrogargan, 364 m
  • Mount Tunbubudla (ou the Twins), 312 et 293 m
  • Mount Beerburrum, 276 m
  • Mount Ngungun, 253 m
  • Mount Coochin, 235 m
  • Mount Tibberoowuccum, 220 m
  • Mount Miketeebumulgrai, 199 m
  • Mount Elimbah, 129 m
  • Wil Horse Mountain, 123 m
  • Round Mo

Le capitaine James Cook aurait écrit à propos du nom donné à ce lieu : "These hills lie but a little way inland, and not far from each other: they are remarkable for the singular form of their elevation, which very much resembles a glass house, and for this reason I called them Glass Houses."

Je me contenterai d'écrire : lieu magique...
