We did a door drop of a revised leaflet on Saturday afternoon (14 Nov - see Poster 2) basically pleading with people to spend 10 minutes looking in their garages, greenhouses etc and guess what........... HE TURNED UP EATING FOOD IN OUR HOUSE AT AROUND 3.30PM!!!
Fortunately he is still in good condition although he has lost some weight (probably needed to anyway!!!). He was obviously dehydrated because he was licking water off the surface of the car. Apart from being a little quiet and spending a lot of time resting (see photo below!!) after his ordeal, I'm pleased to say he is gradually getting back to normal

As a result of our efforts, I also received several phone calls from potential sightings and with general support and advice.
We don't know exactly where he was but many thanks to everyone who did spend the time looking. It was very much appreciated.
To anybody who has lost a pet, our story shows that with a little effort, faith and belief you can find your pet. It has been very tough for us in the past week but we never, ever gave up.
Also, many thanks to Cherrie and Tom at Animal Search UK. Whilst I didn't use their services because I have the facilities and had already completed my poster campaign, they took the time to speak with me and gave me invaluable advice. I would thoroughly recommend the use of their services. They can be found at www.animalsearchuk.co.uk.

This site is dedicated to finding our beloved grey cat Gizmo
Gizmo was last seen at home in the Enfield Road area of Monton, Eccles, Manchester in the early hours of Sunday 8th November 2009. Despite extensive searches having been made, he has still not returned home yet.

ou would be hard pushed to find a more likeable cat or one with a better temperament. We have lived in Monton for many years and love it here.
We have always had a number of cats (usually 6), but always get them in two's as we feel they come on better in two's. As well as Gizmo, we currently have:
Izzy - Gizmo's brother. Long haired, black, very timid but with a great temperement. Has the biggest paws I've ever seen on a cat!!!

Minxy - Short haired, bar coloured cat. Came off a building site along with her sister Mollie approximately 2 years ago. Minxy is really funny and has bags of personality (hence the name)
__99__.jpg)
Mollie - is Minxy's sister. She is pure white and is very timid.... except when she meets Harley!!

Harley - who only has one eye but is not very sociable with the other cats. Can be a bit grumpy __114__.jpg)
Sophie - still going strong at 22 years old!!!
As you can imagine, we have had many cats over the years and they have (and still do) bring us much joy. We have only ever lost one cat before (when we moved house).
We are fortunate enough to live in a great area for cats with a large garden, surrounding woodlands and the golf course close by. Living at the end of a culdesac also means minimal traffic which is great for cats
