My Blog » DRM-free movies on the way ?

Shortly after the first step to get rid of DRM-ed music, it is now the turn of movies. At a conference in LA, MPAA chaiman Dan Glickman promised legal DVD copying and interoperable DRM. It means that it should now be legal and feasible to rip your movies to enjoy them on your PC, iPod or Playstation 3. Is the movie business also eventually realising that sales can actually increase if customers are given more freedom in the way they use the content they bought?
