St Erconwald's seeks to become a healthy active community of Catholics across all age groups who are involved in every aspects of the parish.
This site is still being developed however we hope that it will contain more information than before and that parishoners will come back regularly.
We can easily add additional tabs with informmation for any Parish Group. Ideally if you run a group we will train you to maintain your own page from home - training will be given.
In the meantime if you can help adding tabs or would like please contact me or speak with Fr John
Subject to all paperwork being completed we are hoping to have a Ugandan priest spend a couple of months with us from early September. Apart from this being a fantastic opportunity for us to welcome a priest who can better describe life in Uganda and the impact of our parish project, we hope that this will be a great opportunity for us to share time with someone whose experiences are from a very different background. Please think about putting some time aside to let him meet your family and to help him see our parish in action. Please contact Fr John or the parish office for more details. He would love to be invited for dinner or lunch so as to meet members of the parish.
The Reader's Rota has been updated with dates through to 28th November. If you're a reader, please check the rota here.
Have you looked at the help wanted pages yet?
Do you have two or three hours you good give on a regular basis to help the Parish? Following the Parish Forum it was agreed to establsih a parish office. This is currently being built and we hope to be up and running in September. It will be fully equiped and open weekdays hopefully in business hours. If you have two or three hours you could help with running the office and answering phones please let us know.
We are urgently undertaking repairs to our stained glass windows after we discovered that many of the frames were rotten and damaged. We will have to spend approximately £7,500 on repairs. Click here to see News just in. We have found even more rot and the job may be a little bigger. Have a look at the windows on the left hand side of the altar.
The list is closed and all applications and payments should have been made.
The Parish Registration Forms can be dowloaded fron New Parishoners Section or are available in the porch. Please make certain we have up to date details for yor your family.
A new Instruction Group will be starting shortly and if you would like to know more about the catholic faith with a view to possibly being received into the Church or if you are an adult and have never been confirmed and would like to prepare to receive the sacrament please contact Fr John.
