BASEBOARD CONSTRUCTION

The baseboard was made using planed 30mmx30mm timber constructed in a frame measuring 1800mmmx655mm

Then it was covered using 9mm MDF (slight overkill but as you will see later in project extra strength will be an advantage)

TRACK LAYING

in this case we used peco set track and a slightly modified set track plan and also my son decided to use the foam underlay from peco power is supplied by a bachmann ez-command dcc controlller and power pickup is via soldered joins located in 4 areas to ensure a good constsant supply . track was fixed down with standard track pins
