Back to Enlarging the space Written on 20-Jan-2009 by jjnoAt least for me. Yesterday, Ignasi Rivas, a Narcís Parés colleague, told us something more about the MEDIATE Project. It is a very interesting experiment with interactive spaces and autism, the children who “do not want to interact”. The goal is to test with them different ways to communicate through sight, hearing and touch, in a virtual space. As far as I understood, the challenge for researchers is to connect with them in a predictable world.

The system can adapt to each child changing the mode and rhythm looking for his/her fun.
The project began several years before but even today it is innovative enough to make us think a lot about interaction and society.
