1) I am hard at work with the members of G10, on our next book, this time a full length novel, called "Under A Vanishing Moon". We are hoping to have preview copies done by June, because we are working toward having a booth at the Star Trek Con in Vegas this summer.
2) G10 has also launched a new website April 2, G10writers.com, which I have written an article (drawing The Escape) and I am supplying some art work to the new site as well, plus some of the old Fanlib Art Classes on the new G10 Forums.
3) I have been working on starting a photography business, and a subsequent website (coming soon, hopefully).
4) My middle daughter (#2 of 3) is getting married in May, so there is a bit of work going on from that end as well.
5) I started a Vegan diet, and a blog about it, which is about going from being a meat eater to not without loosing your mind (BTW-lost 23lbs.). The BIG problem with the diet is that you basically spend a lot of time cooking!
All in all it hasn't been the 2009 I thought it would be, but you just have to keep going with the flow and working on your dreams!

My life is going the same direction, a wedding in May ( May 2nd my daughter's finace's brother will be married ), not as close to "home" as yours, but we are involved...a death, as my Aunt's son died suddenly while at work last week...he was in his late 40's and it makes one think and be thankful that The Big Guy answers prayers and allows us to wake up each morning to be able to love, and yell at, and laugh with those whom we love!
I think your change of "diet" is more a change in life and priorities and that is a GOOD thing...not just that it has allowed you to loose some pounds, but because it will be how you will live LONGER and be able to be my friend for a lot more years than may have previously been expected! ha! Hang in there and congratulations to you and Roberta as well!
You are a gifted writer and artist! It should be no wonder then, that your photography will follow suit! All my best and encouragement there...if you ever need a model...you know where to find me!..heh...
And THE BOOK! VM is going to be the BIG DADDY of all Sci-Fi novels! A break-out hit for the 21st Century!! And I know because of the brilliant authors involved in it's production!!
