TRAIN!

The JAM TRAINING consists of two interlinked parts.
One is an active dynamic exchange of experience and expertise with students of industrial design At the Delft University of Technology called the JAM ACADEMY and the other is a “HOW2″ workshop called DARE2DRAW! in which anyone can learn how to apply sketching to your daily thinking process making it possible to share your thoughts with others.
ACADEMY
The JAM Academy is an initiative of JAM Visual Thinking. It was created to bridge the gap between talented visualizers and experienced visual thinkers.
In a one day crash course we teach 5-10 visualizers how to use their drawing skills to solve business problems. The visualizers perform a real life business cases together with the client, guided by experienced visual thinkers. During the day they work towards the optimal goal: To help the client make significant steps in their project. The resulting visuals give the client new insights, an overview of their problem and the means to communicate this effectively.

The JAM ACADEMY is a way for us to share our expertise and experience with the students of the TU Delft. By sharing what we know and matching it with the questions of the students we will hopefully create a new course at the faculty of Industrial Design and along the way educate, inform and inspire students to come and do some work at JAM. To enhance the flow between theory and practice the JAM ACADEMY offers a real life customer with a real question. The students will learn how to work with actual life customers and the customer will get intelligent visual design in return. Win-win situation.
The next JAM ACADEMY is on the 8th of June in studio 19-20 at IO in Delft:
We are organizing it in collaboration with the ID study association:
DARE2DRAW!

The event on the 18th of febuary was a succes! We had a lot of fun and learned a lot from eachothers reasons for wanting to be able to draw! Thanks to Harry van der Velde of ZICHT.com for attending and giving us his perspective on what the JAM SCHOOL should be about.
