Part-time; Spring Term (January-March)

 

The Commission for Youth Social Enterprise (CYSE) is seeking qualified applicants for its Field Research Internship for the spring term of 2009 (Jan-March) in London or a variety of other locations. Interns will assist our team of young social enterpreneurs in conducting field interviews with other leading social enterpreneurs, experts, and youth in the UK.

Interns will be work directly with the Commission's Bright Young Minds-- 21 of Britain’s top young social entrepreneurs-- to conduct field interviews as part of a larger research project on youth and social enterprise. This position is part-time and unpaid but the schedule is flexible. Candidates should be enthusiastic with excellent communication skills, computer skills, and an interest in youth and social enterprise. We are seeking a broad range of talents and will consider applications from all ages. Applicants with previous experience conducting interviews and research or recording and editing video are encouraged to apply.

Responsiblities:

Application will be accepted on a rolling basis until December 7th. Selection of interns will occur the week of December 15th and interns will begin in January.

Interns will conduct research on youth and social enterprise in the UK. CYSE's research project seeks to answer the question, "How can society equip young people to make a lasting positive impact on their world?" CYSE's research team will be conducting original qualitative and quantitative research aiming to publish several reports and making recommendations to government bodies next year.

Interns will be work with CYSE's and UnLtd's Research Team in conducting a broad literature review to support CYSE's on-going research project on youth and social enterprise. This position is part-time and unpaid but the schedule is flexible. Candidates should be enthusiastic with excellent writing skills, computer skills, and a interest in youth and social enterprise. We are seeking a broad range of talents and will consider applications from all ages. Applicants with previous experience conducting research or with experience in youth and social enterprise are encouraged to apply.
