Browning ''Double Auto'' ( or Twelvette) ..... I've been contemplating obtaining one for many years, so if anyone knows of one in good order for sale please let me know. They were produced by Browning in Belgium between 1955 - 1972 ish; an unusual design being a 2 shot auto without a magazine; the second round is held in a port in the receiver. They came in a number of variations and were an attempt to provide a light weight, well balanced alternative to a break open double barrel gun but never became acceptable on the moor or drive.
I missed out on a good one here ... http://www.gunwatch.co.uk/guns/2192-Browning- ... -sale
Did anyone out there borrow my copy of 'The Modern Muzzle Loader' by Andrew Courtenay? Please return if it's discovered. Thanks, Bruce B...also been looking for a copy of
The Collectors' Guide to Air Rifles fourth edition by Dennis E Hiller (I did own one but recall lending it out years ago prior to joining CSAC) Probably a moral here .....
