IMPORTANT FULLBORE INFORMATION

MINIMUM NUMBERS

The Committee have decided that the club is willing to subsidise Fullbore shooting to a MAXIMUM of £50 per shoot.

Due to increased cost levied by Landmarc this means that shoots will have to attract the following minimum number of paying shooters signed up 2 weeks in advance

WARCOP = 16

BATTLE HILL = 10 (weekday)      18 (weekend)

If these numbers cannot be acheived the committee will have to consider shortening a session to 1/2 day or cancelling.

The fees for Fullbore shooting will remain unchanged at £25 if paid in advance or £30 if paid on the day.

This new format should help to reduce the financial burden on the club due to fullbore shooting, whilst preserving as much choice as possible for all shooters by using a range of facilities.

SHOOTER CERTIFICATION CARDS

SC cards are required by civilians who wish to shoot on MoD Ranges.

You will not be permitted to shoot unless you can show a current valid card.

Novices or shooters undergoing assessment are the only non-holders permitted to shoot if supervised by a current card holder

An information folder which includes details of how to obtain one is available at the club

The cards can only be issued by the club chairman but an assessor may also be appointed

CSAC's assessor is Bruce Lenton. Contact him or the chairman for info.

(S.C. Cards are not required at Diggle or Gardners)

yes thanks to all the organisers, RCO's, flag hoisters, stuck car removers, and target sticker uppers, who made the day quite a good one.

Another visit to Gardners went well on May 4th. There was sufficient range time for all attendees with dry sunny weather making an enjoyable day...

      Folks,

All of the potential dates that we had lined up at Battle Hill have all been cancelled by Landmarc.

I have replaced them with dates at Gardners as you can see above.

The only other date that Landmarc could offer us up to end of October was Saturday 13th July which I am not of the mind to book.

I am in talks with them to see if they will open the range for us on non-shooting weekends and I am also looking at dates that we can get IBSR (and not have it cancelled at the last minute).

In the meantime, though, I believe that supporting Gardners is the order of the day. In the absence of a rifle captain, I am open to an alternative strategy regarding bookings, please email me directly if you would like to see us doing something different.

      Thanks

      Adrian

If you have all had a gander at the results for last year, I will remove them next time I visit here.

Steve has left approx 30 cards at the club. I believe Don is aware of their whereabouts. We are waiting for a further supply from the NRA in the meantime.
