MINIMUM NUMBERS
The Committee have decided that the club is willing to subsidise Fullbore shooting to a MAXIMUM of £50 per shoot.
Due to increased cost levied by Landmarc this means that shoots will have to attract the following minimum number of paying shooters signed up 2 weeks in advance
WARCOP = 16
BATTLE HILL = 10 (weekday) 18 (weekend)
If these numbers cannot be acheived the committee will have to consider shortening a session to 1/2 day or cancelling.
The fees for Fullbore shooting will remain unchanged at £25 if paid in advance or £30 if paid on the day.
This new format should help to reduce the financial burden on the club due to fullbore shooting, whilst preserving as much choice as possible for all shooters by using a range of facilities.
SHOOTER CERTIFICATION CARDS
SC cards are required by civilians who wish to shoot on MoD Ranges.
You will not be permitted to shoot unless you can show a current valid card.
Novices or shooters undergoing assessment are the only non-holders permitted to shoot if supervised by a current card holder
An information folder which includes details of how to obtain one is available at the club
The cards can only be issued by the club chairman but an assessor may also be appointed
CSAC's assessor is the Rifle Captain (Bruce Lenton). Contact him or the chairman for info.
(S.C. Cards are not required at Diggle)
You must sign in or register to post messages to this bulletin.
These results are now available. I will forward to the interested parties
Have the results of the group match at battle hill been posted? can not seem to find them anywhere.
Its was cold on the range today. Half a dozen or so intrepid souls braved sub zero temps, ice and snow to shoot a series of group matches. A stiff breeze favoured the heavier calibres and the overall results are keenly awaited. Distance was limited to 300m due the adjacent range being used by cadets. At least that meant there was someone else to put the flags out.
RCO duties were shared by Bruce L and me. Thanks to the others for showing on such a day. Next shoot to be arranged.
After recent disappointments and cancellations, it was nice to get some shooting in again. The dozen who took the pain to turn up had almost unlimited shooting, so it goes to show that it’ still worth showing up. We were blessed with unseasonably good weather with almost calm, bright, and mild conditions. Credit where its due to the Landmarc staff and RSM who were more than helpful.
Next shoot is Battle Hill in 3 weeks on Dec 10th.
Following the election of a new NRA regional rep there is a developing improvement in communication from him out to affiliated club secs and individual NRA members.(Previously such communication was in effect non existent) One outcome of this (which has already started) is invitations from clubs to others in the region to attend their fullbore range days. I expect Colin will keep us posted on developments and I will pass on any info sent to me as an individual NRA member. I will post up any items sent to me on the notice board. As most of the clubs are in the N.E. they tend to book ranges east of the Pennines but they are still worth considering. A useful link to the range locations can be found here......http://darlingtonshooting.org.uk/Public/pages ... .html
Hopefully these arrangements will develop to the advantage of all who struggle to attend fullbore ranges or have to cover the cost of range hire,
