http://www.webjam.com/cjones/$blog/2009-09-30T15:32:00Zhttp://www.webjam.com/enhttp://www.webjam.com/cjones/$blog/2009/09/30/mmmhttp://www.webjam.com/cjones/$blog/2009/09/30/mmm#Comments2009-09-30T15:32:00Zhttp://www.webjam.com/cjones/$blog/2009/09/30/mmmSo last night I tried out some of the local entertainment.  My friends and I headed for Bistroteque off of Cambridge Heath Road for a friends birthday.  The food in the upstairs restaurant is a bit pricey (an average main meal is about £15) but delicious – I had the Duck Leg Confit which tasted amazing.  There is a good deal to be had though if you don’t turn up late like we were – a three course meal for £17.50.  We then went down the stairs to watch the £5 cabaret which was really funny. It built up slowly culminating in some weird and hilarious acts such as MC Gaff E - a lover of frozen peas and kangaroos.  It's a really cool place and a fun night out, just make sure when you go you keep a look out as the building is hard to find.....

<!--[if !vml]--><!--[endif]-->  ]]>http://www.webjam.com/cjones/$blog/2009/09/29/new_movehttp://www.webjam.com/cjones/$blog/2009/09/29/new_move#Comments2009-09-29T15:20:00Zhttp://www.webjam.com/cjones/$blog/2009/09/29/new_moveSo how is living in Bethnal green going?.....Really well at the moment.  I love the location, have found some really cool pubs which I only hope I get accepted in to as a local and have found that I have now learnt more about London than I have ever learnt the last three years I have been living here.  This knowledge is thanks to the buses I have been taking everywhere as oppose to simply walking across the road to university.  There is something about living further out that makes you less lazy, I suppose also I want to make the most of my weekly bus pass and so always jump at the chance to explore a new area with it.  Have visited the graveyard in Hackney Central (that was a nice day), the hospital there and also the Primark! I’m making the most of the last few golden days before lectures start……
