Sunday, January 18th was devoted to understanding what it was the scripture is trying to tell us. The key to the day came across in the analysis of the parable we call “the lost sheep.” Who are the lost sheep today? What is it we are expected to do with the lost sheep? What is it we do with the lost sheep? For the first time in a long time we took a long hard look at just how we follow the instruction Jesus gave us, and we agreed we have failed to follow his teachings. We seem so worried about the sheep that are not lost we forget the sheep that is lost. We simply reject the lost sheep today. We put them in jail, or we execute them. We cast them aside rather than find them and love them.

Sunday, January 25:  Marvin has called a worship/education group meeting.  Scheduled to meet after church has ended.

 

The potluck for the 25^th has been rescheduled for February 8^th.  I will be bringing a sign up sheet on the 25^th.

 

Sunday, January 25^th:  Jessica has called a hospitality group meeting.  We are meeting at 9:00 a.m. before hospitality.  The discussion will be centered on ideas and dates for our winter group activity.  Bring your ideas!
