See the Earlier Concerts page for details of where and what we have sung in the past two years.
Choir18 brings together singers from several choirs in the Hertford area to perform a wide repertoire in some of Europe’s most amazing buildings.
In May 2008 some of us sang with another choir at the main Sunday morning Mass in St Mark’s in Venice. From this amazing experience came the idea of Choir18.
The choir’s first year included a weekend in Brussels in May singing at the Cathedral and Eglise St Jacques, Sunday services at St Edmundsbury Cathedral in late August and a concert at All Saints Church, Jesus Lane, Cambridge celebrating the 40th birthday of The Churches Conservation Trust.
Since January 2010 we have sung at Great St Mary’s, Cambridge, St Edmundsbury, Ely and Southwark Cathedrals, St Albans Abbey and the University Church in Oxford.
Each year we take a weekend away. In May 2010 we sang in Basilica S. Lorenzo in Florence, in the amphitheatre in Lucca and in Pisa in the Baptistry and the Cathedral. This year we sang the Sunday morning 11am mass in Strasbourg Cathedral and concerts in St Pierre-le Jeune and Marmoutier Abbey.
Since then we have sung at St Edmundsbury (lunchtime concert & evensong in June), Ely Cathedral (Lady Chapel - lunchtime concert), St Lawrence Church Little Stanmore (The Duke of Chandos' Church),Great St Mary's Cambridge (again) and Norwich Cathedral.

Choir18 has a 'pool' of about 35 singers. We take on a 'gig' when we have a quorum of 14+ and up to 25 - always ensuring a good balance between the parts. We are always looking for new singers to add to the 'pool'. Anyone interested? Please contact David Boarder for details - phone 07876 444701 or email david.boarder@virgin.net
NB our Choir18 is NOT on youtube. There are other choirs with the same name who are.
