Thanks to all who came to sing and friends and relatives who came to listen to us on Saturday 16 January at Great St Mary's Cambridge. Thanks also to Michael Cayton for his excellent organ playing.

Choir18 brings together singers from several choirs in the Hertford area to perform a wide repertoire in some of Europe’s most amazing buildings.
In May 2008 some of us sang with another choir at the main Sunday morning Mass in St Mark’s in Venice. From this amazing experience came the idea of Choir18. The choir’s first year has included a concert in January for the Borough of Broxbourne, a weekend in Brussels in May singing at the Cathedral and Eglise St Jaques, Sunday services at St Edmundsbury Cathedral in late August and a concert at All Saints Church, Jesus Lane, Cambridge celebrating the 40th birthday of The Churches Conservation Trust.
A programme celebrating Christmas to Candlemass in Great St Mary’s, Cambridge in January included music by Monteverdi, Richard Allain and Jonathan Dove – see earlier concerts page for programme details.
The choir is singing St Edmundsbury Cathedral on Saturday 20 February (a lunchtime concert at 1.00 and evensong at 5.30), and at Ely Cathedral on Saturday 17 April at 1.10 in the Lady Chapel. The 2010 weekend away is in Florence and Lucca 28-31 May.

Choir18 has a 'pool' of about 35 singers. We take on a 'gig' when we have a quorum of 14+ and up to 25 - always ensuring a good balance between the parts. Next concert
