My goodness, I lost track of time a bit, and we've been to the beach AGAIN since my last post.....gee. However, in our defence, it seems like everything is a bit quiet at the moment as we are just trying to keep out of the builders' way. But today the kitchen fitters took off until next week. They were supposed to have finished at the end of last week, but of-course, they didn't. Still, they have just one short wall and some finishing off to do. Here are some pics:

tn works day 2Ther first panels start going up

tn day 3 1day 3

tn day 3 2day 3 - the entrance

tn day 4 1Day 4, that is the entrance again and the start of my pass

tn day 4 3day 4, I'm standing in the kitchen, the hole there is the pass

tn day 4 4A white box!!!!!!

My kitchen will literally look like a laboratory. Still, it is hopefully future-proofed for the next 30 years. So we have been pottering around them, trying to stay out of the way. Also, there is only one electric source, as all the rest have been ripped out. So the builders get first dibs on the electrics. However, the kitchen guys have another job to do, and this gives our plasterboard man a chance to get in and do his thing whilst they are away. So the plumbers come to finish off on Weds or Thurs of this week and the builder chap will come after the 2nd. Hooray! Things really seem to be taking shape now.

Dave sorted out supports for the main sign and we hung it today. I took the picture when the sun was setting, so it's a bit shadowy, I'll try and get a better one in the daylight tomorrow.

So we had the weekend off, like the builders, and went to the beach at St-Marie-La-Mer. Eeek, that may be the last time for some weeks as all these kids had materialised as if out of nowhere. Ugh. But it is reassuring to see the area as busy as it should be. My tan is coming along nicely! We went home via the DIY shop - we can never drive by! And after a shower, went to the local pizza/crap, oops crepe place for a bite. It was packed! So that also was good to see. Also understaffed, so the meal was, 'leisurely', but fine. A positive holiday. Sunday Dave pottered and I lounged on our sundeck in the peace and quiet, just a few hot pussycats for company - purrrrfect. And today is another scorcher - hottest yet, I reckon. So expect more photos soon.
