When I was young, I always dreamed about my kids surfing water, snow or concrete. I thought I will have the time to educate them into the love of nice curbs, sweet rides and all balancing moovements.

Sometimes I go to school on my skateboard, my son in front of me. He loves that ; and my 2 years old daughter too. I do it each time we want to ride. It's often.

I've never pressured my kids. I'm just sharing them my joy and feelings about riding a board, whatever it's a surf, snow or skate one.

Today my son came back from an afternoon at a friend's house. There was an «old toys hunt » in the garden.

He came back with an old yellow plastic board.

It's his first one.

Exactly the same than I used to ride, 20 years ago,

I'm very happy today. I'm pretty sure that riding is great to understand life. Welcome son to the wonderful world of surfing.

Quand j'étais plus petit, sur ma planche, je pensais à mes futurs enfants faisant du surf, du skate ou du snow.

Je pensais que j'allais avoir tout le temps de les éduquer dans un amour de la mer, de la montagne, des jolies courbes et de la beauté des corps en équilibre.

Parfois j'accompagne les enfants à l'école en skate. Mon fils est devant moi. Il adore ça. Ma fille de 2 ans aussi. Je le fais quand l'envie nous prend de rider un petit peu. Cela arrive souvent.

Je n'ai jamais forcé mes enfants. Je m'en fous qu'ils deviennent des champions. J'essaie simplement de leur faire partager ma passion pour le ride, qu'il soit en surf, skate ou snow.

Aujourd'hui mon fils est revenu d'une après-midi passée chez un copain. Il y avait une chasse au jouet dans le jardin.

Il est revenu avec un vieux skate jaune en plastique. Son premier.

Exactement identique au mien, 20 ans plus tôt.

Je suis heureux aujourd'hui. Il a l'air d'apprécier sa vie. Je suis sûr que rider est un excellent moyen d'avancer. Bienvenue mon garçon dans une vie de surf.

By the way, not sure Azlan has a skateboard, but at least he plays tennis.

I surf, he plays tennis : who cares ? You can even be the coolest dad by doing gardening ! The only thing is to share your passion, your fuel !
