New Bag Tag Mini happening this coming Sunday, November 1, 2009. Cost is $10.00 - $2 going in to the ace pot and $8 for the tags - also if you happen to loose your tag this year, replacement tags will be available for an additional fee.

The Giles while not a filled tournament went off quite well. I hope more people can make it out there next year for the tourney.

Oh yeah, we are also selling $1 mulligans (limit 2 per round) for the Sunday rounds to help raise money for the Athens Club in order to make improvements to our course - help out if you can!

Athens Disc Club just held our 2009 bagtag mini. Out of 40 tags, we still have 17 with no owners. If you'd like to see who has what tag number currently, please click on the tab for the club, Thanks! - Our A & B ace pots are also quite substantial (A over $330 & B over $230) - we invite everyone out for the Sunday morning round (8:30ish) to try their luck at hitting an ace - $1 per round gets you in on the ace pot each Sunday! The Paul Giles is coming up soon, keep checking back for set date etc.! The Cain Center is looking to have a mini on March 14 if anyone is interested in that- I'll keep you informed on that as well.

Hey guys, bring your womenfolk out to play! Who knows, they might get bitten by the disc golf bug too. We need more women in the sport (and disc golf is good for the body and soul). Besides, its a great way to spend quality time with the people you care for!

Sorry for not updating for a while. Now, to catch everyone up on how things are going...
We are going to start the night golf again, so if you want to play, please let Mark or Lew know what day is optimal for you. The day most optimal for everyone will be voted on during one of our Sunday rounds soon then I'll post it here for the perusal of all. The night ace pot stands at $15 currently.
Sunday 1st round time has moved to approximately 8:30 - 9 a.m. and someone will be there each Sunday - if Mark and/or I cannot make it, the ace pot will be seen to by someone who CAN make it.
We will be having our bagtag round soon so keep an eye out for the date/time/etc. as I will post it upon the "club's" decision of when that will be.
I'll post more later...Happy Disc-ing!

We will be having our annual Halloween mini tournament this upcoming weekend on Sunday Oct. 19, 2008. There is a trophy for the guy or gal who has the best score and will also be something crazy for whomever comes in DEAD last. There will also be snacks/drinks. It promises to be a day of fun with added holes and lots of friendly competition!

Sunday mornings we play for bag-tags. If you don't have one, don't worry, you can still play with us. We currently begin around 8am but will make it 7:30 if it gets any hotter. After the first round, many of us hang around for a friendly game of doubles, singles, or wolf - depending on what is requested by the majority that day. Come on out to Athens and play with us!

The creek running beside 17 basket has been cleaned up considerably by Mark Nolan and more cleaning is to come. This means you can find your discs easier when they go into the water while throwing 17.
