Welcome to this test site. This site is just a test to see what all can be done to it. This is in the hopes of possibly building even better communications for all peoples who have a role in the Benton School Band Program. It is my wish to build a community where parents, students, and band directors all can communicate more easily.

CoEditors all have access to the design and content of the website. They also may add or delte members as they see fit.

At the same time, you can designate noneditors of the site to be responsible for certain modules, or even certain pages on the website. There are blog modules where the band instructors may post whatever they wish while giving others the ability to reply and give feedback. The amount of any one module on these webjams is limitless. We can have as many or as few as we like.

We can also have as many forums as we like. However, at this point in time, there is no "rich text editor" for forum posts, though you can use html tags to change the font, post links, or even add pictures to a forum post. For those who do not know html, they can add a blog module totheir profile and use it to create their post. Then they simply click on the little "html" icon, copy and paste the codes into their forum threads. This is only temporary as Webjam has rich text forum editors on their que list.

Photo albums may be set up for however we wish. You can allow anyone, members, or just coeditors to upload their photos on the site. We can allow or not allow anyone to view any page or set the pages to private. You can also set each individual module to  public or private as well.

    Keeping It Safe

Because of just how easy and flexible it is to set things to private or public, you can't find a safer place for kids to be. It's even safer then facebook and myspace. You can even create a registration form That students and parents can fill out when applying to the webjam. In this way, you  can prevent any predators having access to our students.

    Example Pages

The pages on this jam are all examples of what they could be. There are modules of nearly every kind from photo albums and file uploaders to forums and shout boxes. If you can't find a module you need, you can use the free html module to copy and paste a widget to do as you need it to. These pages took me all of like an hour to do. While they design and feel of the webjam is very basic, I didn't want to get into a major design project and make you thinik I think you're going to like the idea. I just basically wanted to let you know there are better sites for communities out there.
