Yes, completely unimpressed and just shy of seven hundred and fifty notes to get it through MOT. It's probably more than what the car's worth, and you can probably build one for cheaper. Needless to say, it was expected, having neglected the car for three years and washing her just the once once. I like them dirty, the car too. Here's hoping to another three years of trouble free motoring. In fairness, it does have new shoes on the car, and I have something of a rubber fetish, as well as sheds.

unfortunately it's the price to pay to avoid being at the mercy of our trusted public transport system, and there's nothing better than having your own personal space on the daily commute, especially during winter

£750?! Flippin' heck man... how many Belgo's Surf and Turf meals could you have purchased with that amount of dough? Mind you, steak and lobster can't get you to Hatfield and back

wow, 750 notes is roughly 1/20th of an M3. You've been had m8!

to make things worse, I saw a relatively old BMW with leather trim for sale for £750. But it won't look as cool as mine and you already know how many chicks I pulled in that luxury sports coupé of mine. Yes, absolutely zero.

Hehe, I know what that feels like. I recently put my beemer in for it's 120000km service. There were a few other bit that needed attention so I told them to fix everything they found to be wrong.
Result: 21700Nok (roughly £2K). Good thing my holiday money came in that same week. Last year my Xmas bonus just covered the outcome of my drifting adventure (see link above)

£2k?!? but you car is probably worth more than that right? when your car stereo gets to a stage of having more value than the car, it really sucks.

Ken, perhaps if you took your Celica (read: beast) to Norway, you could sell it for a mint and then come back to blightly and buy yourself a proper car (read: BMW).

[cars are very expensive in Norway]

surely costs of getting it over there will counter the strategy?

hmmm, perhaps not such a wise idea after all!
