  I guess public transport still came to a standstill as result of the wrong type of snow. It make me smile when I think how unprepared the UK is for anything else than moderate rain.

  moderate rain still screws up traffic and transport... I remember in Japan, trains were on the dot every time. If they were ever late, they would issue out apology form to commuters for their employers, just incase they were ever late.
