I'm fairly preoccupied with it this week, and next week I'll be visiting her in WA. It doesn't accomplish anything, but sometimes I just get so frustrated I need to vent. Like yesterday.

Well, tonight I picked my son up from school and he wanted to bring a friend over. I escaped to the garage and intended to at least organize and clean up. I didn't think I had the energy to make anything (I was up late last night and had to get up early today). I turned the concentrators and kiln on, thinking at least they would be ready if the mood struck. Maybe because I didn't intend or expect to make anything my muse decided it was time.

I had the best session I've had in months. I have to qualify that and say that I haven't had more than 10 hours total at the torch in the past two months. Still, it was awesome and I think I have a really nice focal to complete a set that's been incomplete since last summer. My heat control and stringer work is almost back up to speed.

Now maybe I'll have some beads to put in my shop again!

No new beads or pictures this weekend

This was one of those weekends when beadmaking just wasn't gonna happen. The weather was ok on Friday, but I was busy reading a book (Fountainhead by Ayn Rand--was recommended by a friend when I told him I'm going to grad school for architecture).

On Saturday my son had his saxophone lesson, which means I can't do anything until after 3. By then it was getting cold and starting to snow.

Sunday I went to an automotive store to get some brake line to use as a blowpipe and what they has isn't quite right. I wanted to try making some shards. So I got annoyed and just spent the entire day messing around on various Webjam sites.

I wanted to edit pictures and get some beads on Etsy, but the power supply to my laptop died, and I don't have Photoshop installed on my desktop computer. That's going to have to wait a week until my new power supply gets here.

I sound so negative! I just couldn't manage to get anything bead-related done. Maybe next weekend.

I might finally keep my site up-to-date!

I have a custom site built on a CMS, but I don't keep it updated because it's tedious and it doesn't have a real blog.
