God wields suffering to break apart your rocks of resistance and mine. Suffering is His chisel in His hand that chips away your pride and your stiff-necked, stubborn rebellion, and the hurting and the hammering is not going to end until we become completely like Jesus, until we can completely reflect that marvelous image or precious, precious Jesus Christ.
And if that doesn't sound encouraging, listen (or read) the whole thing. You will find encouragement in God' sovereignty!
