    TEACH A MAN TO FISH
You may have heard the saying "If you give a man a fish he eats for a day, if you teach him how to fish he eats for life..."  But the reality is that what he really needs are boats and nets.  We are also raising money to fund entrepreneurs in third world countries through the process known as micro loans.  Many people in these countries have the potential and the drive to be successful business operators.  What they need to succeed are small loans to buy the materials to run their business.

    Northwest Italy Roundtrip

Our club president, Ian Shepard, was selected to be one of only eight Rotaractors from all over the world to attend this annual event.  He traveled the Northwest Region of Italy experiencing the culture and the food from many different small towns.  He described it as an amazing experience that he is very proud to have taken part in.  The Rotaract District of Northwestern Italy has offered this trip for a number of years for the purpose of broadening cultural horizons.

    HALLOWEEN MADNESS
Anchorage Rotaract worked closely with Anchorage East Rotary to create the best Halloween project in the Anchorage Area.  Great Food, Great Costumes and Great Scares were rampant.  When you partner a successful Rotaract Club with an amazing Rotary Club, the possibilities are endless.

All proceeds supported Rotaract International Projects.

    MS BIKE TOUR
Our Rotaract club recently volunteered with the annual MS Bike Tour. This is a bike race from Anchorage to Seward and back over a weekend in September. Seven of our members gave up their weekend to assist with this worthy cause.. All proceeds from this event contribute to the fight against MS (Multiple Sclerosis).
