OUR CURRENT GOALS

We believe God is calling us to:

• GROW IN FAITH AND HELP OTHERS TO MEET JESUS

- Emphasising joy and wholeness so we leave services feeling we have met with God

- Reaching out to become even more welcoming and broadening the base of our appeal

- Staging programmes and courses for faith development and spiritual growth

- Being open to change

- Supporting faith development in 11-25 year olds

- Supporting each other

• MAKE BETTER USE OF OUR BUILDINGS

- Focussing especially but not only on the church

- Reducing our carbon footprint and emphasising sustainability

- Using and adapting the buildings as spaces for young people

- Hosting community events

- Meeting the needs of growth in attendance and expectations of new members

• EMBODY GOD'S LOVE FOR EVERYONE, ESPECIALLY SUPPORTING PEOPLE AT KEY TIMES OF THEIR LIVES

- Recognising that we need to strengthen our ministry especially in the following areas:

* Youth (11-25 year olds)

* Young families

* Older people

- Valuing and embracing the existing wide range of pastoral care groups

• STRENGTHEN OUR COMMITMENT TO OUR CHURCH SCHOOL ALL SAINTS C. of E. PRIMARY

- Praying regularly for the needs of our school

- Sharing in the work of the school

- Developing our understanding of what it means to be a church with a church school, and what it means to be a church school

- Deepening our partnership with our church school in our nurture of the children

 

• BE MORE COMMITTED TO MISSION IN THE WORLD

- Gaining a deeper appreciation of our place in God's worldwide mission

- Developing further as an eco-congregation

- Encouraging our youth to engage in mission projects

- Engaging more with the local community
