sponsored by the Advanced Instructional Media (AIM) Lab and the Advanced Learning Center (ALC)

If you are interested in learning more about how to use specific Web 2.0 tools, like wikis, blogs, & social bookmarking in your teaching, then the Web 2.0 Special Interest Group is for you.

The SIG will be facilitated by Dr. Clif Mims from the Instructional Design & Technology (IDT) department and the Advanced Instructional Media (AIM) Lab in IDT.

Our SIG Show & Tell will include these tools and how they work:

  • wikis/blogs
  • social bookmarking
  • reaching beyond the classroom walls with video
  • web development and picture editing
  • online presentations
  • RSS/Aggregators

 During these brown bag sessions you will:

  • learn how choose tools that are appropriate for your teaching needs,
  • learn how to use these tools
  • learn how to implement the tools in your teaching effectively
  • gain tips for using these tools
