Browser preparation
Login to Course
- Login to eCourseware at http://elearn.memphis.edu or through the Spectrum portal using your UUID and password.
- If you prefer to build course content separate from your live course instance, request a development course shell. (Note: you will need to copy course content/components to your live course instance prior to the start of the semester.)
Copy components to live course instance
- Each semester faculty may import all or part of their course content from the previous semester in the new empty shell created by Banner. The following guide shows how to import such content.
- You may also copy content components developed in one live course instance to another in order to not have to re-create content for multiple sections.
Special course access requests (adding users)
- For technical reasons, the ability for faculty to manually add users or participants such as Faculty, Students, or TA's to eCourseware courses has been suspended. While the issues behind this change are being addressed you may request additional access for users/participants by submitting a Help Request Form. You will need to indicate what role or permission level you wish for each user. A list of roles and explanation can be found here-- View Roles Chart.
- Department Aide Function: A chair-appointed eCourseware Department Aide administers many important in-house services for their department's online courses, such as special course creation and enrollments, inter course content sharing and incomplete student access. At this time the following departments have assigned Department Aides: Business, Health Administration, History, Journalism, Nursing, University College/University College-Fire Service. To learn more about this role or specific contacts for the departments above, please email alcsupport@memphis.edu.
