Introduction

This is my own personal webjam for my original story A World Apart. A story about pirates, magic, treasure, and secrets. Everything in this webjam is under copyright infringment and not to be taken. I do not own the images on this webjame they can all be found on photobucket by different creators.

I have decided to make A World Apart a seperate webjam since it is the book that intend to publish first. It is also the piece of writing that is further along. Almost halfway done I think. So I felt there should be a place to maybe post some and get a little bit of feedback on. That is how we become better writers after all. I have hesitated doing this since I have little trust in mankind, but I suppose that is why they call it a leap of faith.

So comment, enjoy,  and discuss. I will try to come and keep this webjam updated as much as possible. I will only be putting up a chapter at a time. Even though I have many done. I like to get feedback on them. No feedback = no updates.

About the Book

A World Apart is an original book written by me. I started this several months ago when Fanlib was still up. It was inspired by my love of pirates and my best friend Leila who shares that love. As inspiration for the story itself Leila also inspired a main character in the story. Captain Leila is a pirate who gathered woman to join her. Being the first all female crew in the seven seas. I had both entered some original personality a long with a bit of Leila's.

A World Apart formed with one specific idea, one that hasn't even been revealed in the story yet. Though some of it has formed as the story grew. The original thoughts have not been forgotton and they are starting to come alive as I reach chapter 20. This is intended to be the first book of what is going to be a trilogy. Several characters are intended to move on to the other books as well. But I try to focus more on this book before forming ideas for the new one.

About the Author

My name in real life is none of your buisness and if this book becomes published then you will find out what it is. Until then I go by Beauty and have for quite a while. I started writing a long time ago in 8th grade, but never actually went to any fanfiction sites until high school. My first story I ever wrote was called The Journey Begins and though it was never officially put up, I used notes from that story to make another. Now called Dark Journey. Dark Journey is something that I am planning out to be a long series of books. The first being Dark Journey: The Spider King. I won't go into detail about that book, but it was inspired by my very first official piece of writing.

I am also an author on Fanfiction.net. There my name is CSIBeauty, as well as pretty much everywhere else. (Not here because that account was hacked). I have become somewhat known for my Chronicles of Narnia drabbles, my non romance CSI:Miami stories (there are not enough of them if you ask me), and my High School Musical murder mysteries. I also have many stories in over 20 different fandoms. Some published there some not. One particular piece, A Treasure Hunter Emerges (National Treasure), was the winner of the Before They were Stars contest and featured on Fanlib before it closed. It is a story I hold dear to my heart. The very first National Treasure story I have written.

Another thing I was well known for on Fanlib was hosting contests. One in particular called "The Unpopular Fandoms Contest" was quite popular. It was inspired by my own writing in many fandoms that nobody seemed to know. And thus the contest was born. I had created several contests off of that idea before the site closed. Having hosted many contest there is what got me started on hosting several avatar contests here.

I have moved to many different sites to publish fanfiction, but none of them live up to how amazing Fanlib was. Though I had been on Fanfiction.net long before fanlib. The people I met on fanlib are the people who made me the author I am today. Before I was very bad with spelling and grammer, and though I am not perfect now, you can see the improvement in stories on Fanfiction.net. Especially if you read the ones from when I first started to the most recent updates.

Writing is a passion of mine. It is a way for me to relieve my stress and get out feelings on some occasions. I have written several poems, one which is on this profile page. Poetry was something I never intended to ever write, but then on Christmas eve one year, I was feeling particularly down. Family were harrassing me about something stupid and It made me feel alone. And when I got on fanlib a friend of mine (Leila) made me a little christmas present. Though it was just a little picture it was my favorite gift that year, even though I had gotton a Wii that year. It inspired me to start writing poetry. And from then on, when I was feeling sad, angry, stressed, and even happy, I would write poetry. Some of those can be found on FictionPress.

Full Summery

Penelope is not like many pirates, mostly because she is female. Don't let her gender fool you, she is the best swordsman in the seven seas. But there is a lot more to her than that. So much more that not even she knows about it. And soon the crew of the Gold Medallion will find out that there good friend could be more dangerous than they ever knew.

When her captain, Alaster, learns of a mysterious and ancient treasure he and the crew, including Penny's closests friends Nate and George, set out to find it. But first they much find the even more mysterious map that leads to it. The quest for the map is a dangerous journey all on it's own.

Legend says that the map was taken apart and hidden all across the world. Each peice just like a puzzle. And the only way to find the missing pieces is to have at least one of the two keys that is supposed to reveal it. The only way to read the map is to have both of the keys after it is put together.

What the legend didn't say is what kind of keys they were supposed to be, and soon Penny will find out more than any pirate ever had. Which only adds to the already perilous journy ahead of her. A mysterious man tells her that she is in more danger than the rest and that finding the map itself could prove more difficult than most would seem.

Several other groups had already tried to find the map and failed, but even a slight whisper that someone is getting close can put the race for the map into overdrive. Other pirate crews are also on the same journey and an all female pirate crew seems to be the other group that is close.

Captain Leila, is the most unusual woman Penny has ever met. Captain of the all female crew she is willing to do anything to find the treasure that will make the whole world take her and her crew seriously. Though most of the crew find it hard to trust Leila, and with good reason, they find that she is too important to them to let her go.

As tensions rise on the ship, a strange island brings a tragedy that will make finding the treasure harder and more important than ever. Both crew's soon find that if they are going to make it through this journey, they are going to have to stick together. Though Penny doesn't trust Leila, somehow she is realizing who the unusual woman really is.

Danger seems to be able to find these pirates no matter where they go and it seems that an old aquantance of Leila's may become a more threat than she ever imagined. However when they least expect it, a mysterious man comes to there rescue. Little is known about this mystery man, but neither Leila or Penny feel they can trust him. Even after saving there lives.

Though a new ally seems to incapacitate these strange rouge men when they really need it. This only keeps the two woman questioning who they can trust and what their new "friends" true intentions are. These woman are closer to the treasure than anyone has ever been able to get, but they soon find that legends are called legends for a reason. When they expect one thing to happen they learn a large secret that is the key to both the treasure and the girls lives in general.

Nothing is ever the same after secrets are revealed and though the treasure is closer than before. More danger lurks for them if they wish to continue with the journey. And now they have gotton so far into the loop that escape has become impossible. They are left with one choice. Go forward and find the treasure, or die so that nobody who would take advantage of the treasure can ever find it. Which will they choose?

Random Information

A World Apart is a work in progress and will likely be for a while longer. Though I have gotton to the point of what I feel to be the middle of the book. It may still be a while before it is finished. I am not a perfect writer. There are likely to be mistakes throughout the book. Especially when I start typing very fast. I do that sometimes when I am afraid the ideas are going to leave. Fell free to give suggestions and corrections. But please be nice about it.
