While playing with his friends, 10 year old Michele comes across an abandon house with a cavernous type hole beside. There is a young boy inside, chained by his ankle. Of course this scares Michele, but not enough, for he goes back every day to visit the boy in the hole and develop a friendship with him. Michele soon discovers who the boy is and why he is there and makes the desicion to do a fearless thing. I thought this was a great movie and it reminds you of the fears of the unknown that you have during your childhood and the overwhelming boost of courage that helps you overcome them. I was totally involved with the charcters hoping for the best outcome through every changing scene. Beautiful scenery of Italy provides the backdrop for this movie. I give it a 9 out of 10 and a definite must see. Foregn drama/thriller and has subtitles.
